Remember this...

What fun to remember this time. It makes me smile.

The Preacher's Wife

On the weekend of November 20th and 21st Corey and I had the privilage of celebrating the marriage of his sister Lisa to our new brother in-law Cody. We were honored to be able to be a part of their big day in a very speacial way. Lisa asked me to be a bridesmaid and Corey to officiate the wedding. Amazing!

I had tons fun getting to spend some seriously girly time with my mother in-law, sisters in-law and my neice Brynn.
Corey spent a good portion of the days leading up to the wedding perfecting his message. Here is a little taste of what he shared with Lisa and Cody as they started their new life together.

"A group of four through eight year olds were asked: 'What does love mean?' Their answers varried from the amusing to the profound. 'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' 'When you love somebody your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of them.' 'When you tell someone something bad about yourself and you're scared they won't love you anymore. But then you get surprised because not only do they still love you they love you more!'"

Corey then went on to talk about 1 Corinthians 13 "The Love Chapter" of the bible.
"...as beautiful as it is, it is not about romantic love. The love of which Paul speaks is of a behavior we exercise even when we do not feel loving or lovable."
As Corey continued he described different characteristics of love. Patience and kindness. Not being jealous or boastful. Avoiding arrogance and rudeness. And above all putting others before ourselves. It was a great way to start off a marriage and a great reminder to all in attendence! I was so proud to be "the Preacher's wife" for a night!
Here are a few more pictures from the Jordan Meduna Wedding!
